Reiki is a form of Japanese healing discovered in the 1900s which uses qi energy to promote healing. A treatment consists of hands being gently placed on or above the client to allow for qi to flow smoothly in the individual. When qi is able to move smoothly, a person can experience relief from pain, illness and disease. It has been shown to be a very gentle and powerful treatment to bring balance and health back to to the body, mind and spirit.

A Reiki treatment consists of a fully clothed client lying down on a treatment table where the practitioner places their hands on or above the client at specific areas based on their health needs. Specific positions are around the head, shoulders, stomach and feet. These can also vary based on the client. The practitioner’s hands can stay at one area from 3-10 minutes depending on the clients needs.
It is recommended that the client wear loose, comfortable clothing so that they are comfortable and relaxed for the treatment.
Every client's experience of Reiki varies. Most people experience a feeling of deep relaxation. In addition, many fall asleep and are able to release stress, tension and anxiety.
Reiki is very safe and there are no known side effects. It is gentle and powerful, as it uses qi to achieve health goals. In addition, there are no contraindications for Reiki.
It is recommended that you come once a week for 3 sessions so that your body can acclimate to the treatment. Since Reiki is very safe, some clients choose to come more often to acheive faster results.
